As one of the earliest oyster farming sites in New Zealand (60 years ago!), Orongo Bay is nestled in the Bay of Islands, approximately three hours north of Auckland.
Situated on the southern side of the Bay of Island, the small semi-enclosed bay is home to these special oysters. With high water quality and a freshwater spring, this unique Bay grows oysters that are creamy and plump, and unique to the region.
